Looking at 2001 - 2006, President-Elect Obama and other thoughtful Democrats have to know they can't govern as Bush and the Congressional Republican leadership governed.<BR/><BR/>One observation about the Obama campaign is that through it all his team displayed a savvy for direct connection with individuals to circumvent the media and the party propaganda machines. This is the only way Obama was ever going to be able to defeat the Clinton machine. I suspect President 2.0 will be able to garner the popular political support he needs to encourage supporters for his policies. People will be asked to call their legislators to show support for President Obama's proposals, and this will help give Moderate and Conservative Democrats the cover they need to back the President's plans against their own leadership.<BR/><BR/>I absolutely agree with you on the question of Hillary Clinton passing the vetting process to be Secretary of State.
